What Bank of Ireland Actually Charges You
Bank of Ireland charges €6 a month no matter how you bank, €72 a year with no waiver for salary, balance or loyalty. And once you leave the eurozone, every card payment and cash withdrawal earns them a cut too.

€6 per month, €72 a year, as a flat maintenance fee. It covers euro card payments, euro transfers up to €20,000 a day and euro ATM withdrawals, but non-euro transactions cost extra.
Not on a standard adult account. There is no salary or balance waiver. Only second and third level student accounts, graduate accounts and Golden Years accounts for over-66s are exempt.
A 2% currency conversion fee on non-euro debit card purchases, up to €11.43 per transaction. Non-euro ATM withdrawals cost more: 3.5% with a €3.17 minimum and €11.43 maximum.
The variable standard overdraft rate is 16.2% APR including the facility fee. Interest accrues on whatever you owe until the overdraft is cleared.
That is Irish government stamp duty, not a bank fee, collected retrospectively each year on domestic cash withdrawals. It is capped at €2.50 to €5 per year depending on your card type.
