What Revolut Actually Charges You
Revolut's Standard plan costs nothing until you hit its limits: €200 a month at the ATM, €1,000 a month in currency exchange, and a 1% markup the moment markets close on Friday evening. The fees are real, they just wait for you at the edges.

The fee schedule, decoded
| Fee | What they take | The fine print |
|---|---|---|
| Account maintenance | €0/month | The Standard plan has no monthly fee. Paid tiers (Plus, Premium, Metal, Ultra) raise or remove the free-tier limits in exchange for a subscription. |
| ATM withdrawals | Spain: ATM-owner fee; abroad: 2% (min €1) | ATM withdrawals are free up to €200 or 5 withdrawals per rolling month, whichever comes first. Under Revolut Spain's current terms, withdrawals at ATMs in Spain above that allowance are charged at the ATM-owner fee passed to Revolut; withdrawals abroad above the allowance cost 2% with a €1 minimum. |
| Foreign exchange | 1% weekend markup | Currency exchange outside FX market hours, from Friday 5pm to Sunday 6pm New York time, carries a 1% markup on the Standard plan. During market hours exchanges use Revolut's rate without that markup. |
| Other charges | 1% over €1,000/month | Fair usage fee on the Standard plan: once you exchange more than €1,000 in a rolling month, each additional exchange costs 1%, on top of any weekend markup. |
| Transfers | €0 SEPA | Euro transfers within SEPA are free on the Standard plan. Cross-border transfers outside SEPA carry variable fees that Revolut shows in the app before you confirm. |
